Carousel Casualties have dropped an insatiable pop track called 'ano ba talaga?' alonside a brand new music video.

The four-piece ensemble hailing from the north side of Metro Manila entraps the feeling of uncertainty in one track. Supported by Carousel Casualties’ signature synth melodies and addictive jangly guitar riffs, the lyrics build a very human scenario of having so many questions nagging in your head, yet doing so little to find things out due to being afraid of the answer.

'ano ba talaga?' serves as an anthem for dancing around a problem while seemingly poking the issue with a stick through its ear-catchingly good hook: a question that shares the title of the track.

“The song reflects that push-and-pull—the feeling of, "You want to let go, but you're still there." It’s for anyone who has ever felt stuck, waiting for clarity that may never come,” shares Emmanuel “Emmie” Villegas, the band’s vocalist and rhythm guitarist, detailing a dilemma that everyone has gone through or is currently going through in their respective lives.

The three-minute track carries a distinctive blend of 2000s classics and indie synth pop to achieve a bright and playful feel - with an addition of a bouncing bass line to keep the rhythm dynamic and engaging. “The toplines and synths act like little bursts of glitter—shiny, playful, and energetic—masking the melancholic truth underneath,” the band explains.
