CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE (CLWP) have unveiled their latest single, 'Cookie Junkie', a collaboration with Finnish DJ/producer Rony Rex, ahead of their upcoming album Whoop It Up, set to release on 25 April.
Following their recent track with MadeinTYO, this new release expands their growing network of international collaborations. 'Cookie Junkie' blends Rony Rex’s upbeat house production with CLWP’s playful, genre-defying style, creating an irresistible dancefloor anthem.
Accompanying the release is a visualizer by 3DCG artist Sajanu, now streaming on their YouTube channel. The collaboration was sparked by a social media connection, leading to a track that fuses global club culture with CLWP’s signature sound.
Chi- explains: “I’m a total music junkie, I used cookies as a metaphor for music. The lyrics are all about embracing both the sweet and bitter moments of life—just dancing through it all. So let’s dance, world!!!”
Rony Rex adds, “There’s only one Cookie Junkie, and that’s you. This track is here to set you free!”
CLWP's second album, Whoop It Up, brings together a bold mix of sounds with collaborations from MadeinTYO, PES, Rony Rex, Coolboi (South Strip), and TAKE-M (Umeda Cypher). The album features past singles 'Flower' and 'Secret March' (TV Tokyo’s Zaibatsu Fukushuu ending theme), alongside new tracks like 'Ready Yeah feat. TAKE-M' and 'I Know feat. MadeinTYO'.
