By this point, it's no secret that Jacob Collier is a musical genius but it's something completely different to witness it all live.
Last week, the award-winning wunderkind took over The Filinvest Tent for the Manila stop of his highly acclaimed DJesse World Tour. Presented by Karpos Multimedia, the show was a wonderous showcase of Collier's incredible artistry and musicality—and even humility, having spent the latter portion of the show thanking the crew behind his magic.
Throughout the night, the 'Count The People' act performed tracks like 'With The Love In My Heart', 'Hideaway', 'In Too Deep', 'All I Need', 'Don't You Need', and more as he seamlessly moved between the guitar, drums, and keyboard. And like most Jacob Collier shows, the multi-instrumentalist also conducted the crowd into being his own personal orchestra.
An experience like no other, Collier proved that he is truly the musician of musicians—so much so that you couldn't go a couple of steps around the venue without spotting some familiar faces from the Filipino music scene.
Here's what went down at Jacob Collier's first-ever Manila show.
