Laufey has unveiled a new short film for her single, 'Goddess'.
Released via the Icelandic jazz artist's YouTube channel on 11 April, it is a collaboration between the the GRAMMY-wining act and Korean-Canadian filmmaker and playwright Celine Song, the mind behind the 2023 romantic drama film Past Lives.
The short film, which was shot in Brooklyn, New York, stars Laufey and Heartstopper and Wasia Project actor William Gao as two individuals caught in a troubled relationship.

"It was so special to work with Celine on the ‘Goddess’ short film. She has such a clear vision with her work, which became immediately evident to me while watching Past Lives, and her ideas around ‘Goddess’ harmonized perfectly with the narrative of the song. There was immediately a shared understanding that made the partnership so seamless and I feel so lucky to collaborate with someone whose work I admire so much," said Laufey of working with Song, who received an Academy Award nomination for her work on Past Lives.
Unveiled last month, 'Goddess' is one of four new tracks from Bewitched: The Goddess Edition, an upcoming expansion of Laufey's 2023 sophomore studio album. The project is slated to be released on 26 April.
Following Bewitched: The Goddess Edition's launch, the singer-songwriter, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist will gear up for her return to Asia in May, during which she will headline Indonesia's Java Jazz Festival and stage two sold-out shows in Manila with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.
