Manila’s alternative band SOS returns with their long-awaited second album, It Was A Moment, marking a shift from the raw energy of their 2017 debut, Whatever That Was, to a more refined and introspective sound.

The 11-track album, led by the single ‘Yumi & The Apocalypse,’ embraces synth-driven experimentation while maintaining the band’s signature anthemic guitars. Thematically, SOS steps into a more observant role, reflecting on the passage of time and personal transitions. “It’s more like a lab experiment,” says Andrew Panopio, while drummer King Puentespina sees it as a soundtrack to the “transitional stages” of their lives.

Fan-favorite ‘Amore’ finally gets an official release, while songs like ‘I’m Kidding’ and ‘Money’ wrestle with weariness, and ‘French Exit’ explores the art of letting go. The title track serves as a love letter to fans, tying past and present SOS eras into a sweeping, emotional closer. With plans to tour Metro Manila and beyond, SOS is ready to share their evolution.
