Spotify Japan reveals most-streamed artists, songs, albums in 2022 Wrapped – BTS, Official HIGE DANdism, YOASOBI, TWICE, BE:FIRST, Ado, and more

Spotify just dropped their annual music roundup.

This year, the likes of Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift topped playlists across the world. In Japan, Korean global popstars BTS are the most-streamed act of 2022. The top 10 includes local Japanese favourites like Official HIGE Dandism, YOASOBI, Ado, Yuuri, Vaundy, back number, and King Gnu. K-pop girl group TWICE claim the number 9 spot on the list. 

The album Spotify fans in Japan listened to the most is Yuuri's Ichi (壱; One). Ado has two albums on the list with ウタの歌 ONE PIECE FILM RED in second and Kyōgen 狂言 in fifth. Both of YOASOBI's 2022 releases THE BOOK and THE BOOK 2 come in third and fourth respectively. 

Fans on social media platforms shared mostly J-pop hits by JO1, BE:FIRST, and INI with 'Supercali,' 'Bye-Goodbye,' and 'CALL 119' making up the Top 3.

On gaming consoles like the Playstation and X-box, gaming enthusiasts played Ado's 'New Genesis (新時代)' the most. Tracks by Sharou, King Gnu, Tani Yuuki, and The Kid LAROI with Justin Bieber round up the Top 5.
