With this year's theme of #EmbraceEquity, global C-pop singer, film and television actress, and fashion icon Tia Lee (Lee Yu Fen), expresses her love and success of her #EmpowerHer Campaign in commemoration for this years' International Women's Day.
On 8 March, Lee posted a video on her Youtube channel to recognize the support from Tiktokers across the world that have come together to promote her new song, through the #EmpowerHerDance campaign.
This follows the breakthrough success of Tia’s Goodbye Princess music video released last year that garnered a record-breaking 100 million views on YouTube in just 20 days. In the music video, Lee sheds light on a what she holds close to heart - self-acceptance and female empowerment.
Following her widespread popularity, Lee wasted no time in launching her #EmpowerHer campaign to raise funds for charitable organizations throughout the world that support women's empowerment. Every time a viewing benchmark is hit for the Goodbye Princess music video, a donation will be made to the #EmpowerHer campaign, making it one of the largest global projects to promote women's empowerment.
Lee's message has touched the hearts of her fans all across the world, including numerous Tiktokers. One of the highlights in #EmpowerHerDance challenge, in which 16 major influencers from 15 different countries led the movement and captured the attention of more than 158 million followers worldwide.
Led by the famous Filipina Australian Tiktoker Hannah Balaney, fans from all across the world have come together to promote her new song, thus resulting in the #EmpowerHerDance Tiktok campaign.
With over a billion views on their dance videos to date, fresh covers are still being shared on the platforms every day under the #EmpowerHerDance hashtag as more people join the cause.
