You better ring the alarm – 2NE1 are back!

Through a video announcement, YG Entertainment co-founder Yang Hyun-suk laid out the company’s plans for 2025, highlighting the 15th anniversary of the legendary girl group of CL, Sandara Park (Dara), Park Bom and Minzy. According to him, the members expressed their wish to commemorate the occasion with a world tour, reuniting with their former label.

“No. 21 HOME. NOW. #YGBABY,” wrote Minzy in her own Instagram post.

Yang added that plans are underway to hold the tour in early October in Seoul, and then Osaka and Tokyo in the end of November and December. He also said that they are working around schedules for further performances.

“I think this concert will be quite special. It resonates with those who grew up with 2NE1’s music, sharing those memories,” added Yang. “In the case of 2NE1, they have an incredible number of hit songs, so all the staff are working hard together to create a successful show.”

The quartet officially debuted in May 2009 as 2NE1 with the hit debut single ‘Fire’, and then disbanded in November 2016. Each member is currently being managed by a different company.

Yang also mentioned a “highly anticipated comeback” from BLACKPINK in 2025, plus world tours from the aforementioned girl group, TREASURE, and BABYMONSTER as well. Without specifics, he also alluded to sibling duo AKMU and added that WINNER’s MINO and YOON are set to be discharged from their military service towards the end of 2024.

2NE1 famously reunited on a live stage at Coachella 2022, joining their former leader CL at the end of her 88rising Head In The Clouds Forever set with a performance of their blockbuster hit ‘I Am the Best’ (내가 제일 잘 나가).
