88rising Radio announces closure, thanks fans for support

88rising Radio has come to an end. 

On 29 December, the 88rising-powered radio channel announced that it will be closing down. In their statement, the channel thanked fans for their support throughout the last two and a half years. 

"Over the last 2.5 years, we have used our platform to share the incredible art of Asian artists from around the world. There was no other place quite like 88rising Radio. We thank you for your support, contributions, and love," they write. 

BANDWAGON TV

Launched in 2020, 88rising Radio was a 24-hour channel hosted on SiriusXM that was home to multi-genre tracks and podcasts set to amplify Asian artists and music, making it the first of its kind in the US. In its run, it has hosted the likes of Dumbfoundead, eaJ, Japanese Breakfast, keshi, Yuna, beabadoobee, Phum Viphirit, and more, and featured the likes of BTS, SEVENTEEN, Mark Tuan, LE SSERAFIM, and more.
