This year's MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), was one to remember. 

Taking place earlier today at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, the 2019 edition of the annual award ceremony will go down as one of the largest iterations ever, with over 20 performers taking the stage, a three-way tie for the most awards of the night, and a touch of history in the making, as Missy Elliott becomes the first female rapper to receive the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
