Don't (always) believe what you read. Especially on April Fools' Day.
The 1st of April - with its many practical jokes, tricks, and hoaxes - can sometimes spell chaos, especially on social media where fake and unverified news always makes the rounds.
Here's how the likes of BTS, Lil Nas X, Jo Yu-ri, The Itchyworms, and more celebrated April Fools' Day.
BTS
The annual Twitter takeover for April Fools is back, this time with besties, Vmin. Jimin took over initially posting his baby photo as a profile picture, and renaming the account Jimin Park. V eventually took over, changing the display name to Golf Genius Kim Taehyung, and posting photos of himself at the fairway.

BTS' Jin
An avid gamer, BTS' Jin changed his Instagram profile photo to Jhin, a character from League of Legends. His Instagram bio is now a famous quote by Jhin. The display photo change spread fast with gamers and League of Legends themselves sharing the news on their own accounts.
BTS' Jimin
BTS' Jimin changed his profile photo to HYBE founder, Bang Si-hyuk. Jimin's new Instagram bio now reads: "Father of BTS".
BTS' J-hope
Hobi, as J-hope is fondly called by the BTS ARMY, pulled off an April Fools' Day prank that was so successful, that he had to take it back within minutes. After posting a selfie saying he's off to the States, "HAVE A SAFE FLIGHT" took over Twitter, with thousands of fans sending their well-wishes for the rapper. The 'EGO' act immediately took it back saying it was a "LIE" and that he wishes he could be with the rest of BTS who are all currently in Las Vegas for their sold-out 4-night residency at the Allegiant Stadium. The group is also set to perform at the GRAMMYs where they are nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for 'Butter'.
Oh, Flamingo!
The 2022 version of their 2021 April Fools' Day prank, the 'Siguarado' act turned to the classic "Disband n kme (We are disbanding.)" prank for April Fools' Day.

Jo Yu-ri
Former IZ*ONE member Jo-Yuri turned her Twitter account into a merch selling page by posting product details of the 'Glassy' cup. A reference to her single album, Glassy, released in 2021, fans were left amused and entertained by the soloist's well thought-out April Fools' Day prank.
