The color pink wasn't the only thing that flooded the streets of Pasig in Metro Manila. There was also excitement, electrifying joy, and hope.
On Sunday (20/03), attendees of Vice President Leni Robredo’s PasigLaban Para sa Tropa Pasig City People’s Rally were in high spirits as they filled the air with empowering pop songs throughout the day, even after the rally concluded that evening. While music is commonly part of political sorties in the Philippines, there was something irresistibly breathtaking about the moments that transpired at the Robredo-Pangilinan rally.

Ariana Grande's 'Break Free' was one of the anthems supporters sang during the performance of Filipino drag queens. It caught the attention of the GRAMMY Award-winning singer, who later shared a clip from the political rally on Instagram stories, writing, "I could not believe this was real. I love you more than words."
According to Rappler, over 90,000 supporters showed up at the rally. Besides the fantastic sing-alongs, the event was also powered by live performances by local acts Autotelic, Noel Cabangon, Itchyworms, Rivermaya with Jolina Magdangal, Ebe Dancel, and Ben&Ben.
