Everyone who uses Spotify looks forward to Wrapped at the end of the year. It seems checking up on our music listening preferences has become something of an annual ritual now.

Individual audio tastes aside, Spotify Wrapped 2021 has also put out a compilation of the top artists for each region, and India is no exception.

Let’s recount which artists, albums, and songs have made it onto India’s top lists this year.

The title of the top artist goes to notable Indian singer and music composer Arijit Singh who is a recipient of a National Award and a record of six Filmfare Awards.

On Singh’s heels, is music composer Pritam whose release Love Aaj Kal also happens to take the fifth spot on most-streamed albums of the year. Jack of all trades A. R. Rahman is a close third.

BTS who has made it on every Southeast Asian country’s list comes in fourth with their full-length Love Yourself 結 'Answer' in the same spot under the album category.

Last but certainly not least, Tanishk Bagchi takes the final place in the top artists of India list.
