The Korean music scene is booming with talent, from glittering K-pop idols to indie bands that have you in awe; but there’s no one quite like LambC.
Intentional and technical yet expressive and relatable, the Korean singer-songwriter has a knack for making you feel an entire spectrum of emotions with just a quick listen to his discography.
Never wanting to settle on a single genre or style, his evocative stories are often told against the backdrop of various sounds and colours.

“I’ve had a lot of trouble when it came to genres because I don’t ever write a song thinking about a specific genre. It’s really more of what feelings I want to convey as well as what colour or tonal description matches the song. So I would say it's a mixture of every genre according to different songs,” LambC tells Bandwagon.
His technical skills all stem from his winding path through music. Having always had a passion for what he does, the ‘Dear Caramel’ hitmaker started his career as a drummer before finding a skill for songwriting and producing.
“I had no intention at all to become a singer-songwriter let alone be singing on stage because I started off my music career as a drummer and always wanted to be a great drummer more than anything else,” he shares.
“Once I got into Berklee College of Music, I figured I owed myself to learn something brand new because it felt a bit wasteful if I were to come here and re-learn what I already knew. So, that’s when I majored in ‘Music Production & Engineering’ and that really started my songwriting and engineering career that led all to this day.”

Since 2015, LambC have released a myriad of hits, both as a singer and producer. This includes his endearing track ‘Love like that’. Released as part of his 2017 EP Absence ‘Side A’, the sweet and sincere love song has resonated with listeners all across the world and continues to be one of the singer’s most popular hits.
“I think musicians are the ones that really don’t know too much when it comes to which song they think will do best. Certainly, I’m one of them and I never really thought it would receive so much love,” LambC on ‘Love like that’.
“But I have a feeling that people like the song because I was so honest and sincere when in the writing process which kind of shone through the song. I’m always grateful to everyone who listened to it.”
Taking inspiration from all aspects of life – from the movies he watches to his adorable cat, LambC’s music reads like a diary full of love-fuelled adventures and mundane musings on life.
“I get inspired by everything. I might drink a cup of coffee and get a song idea—might see a movie, watch cool videos, read books. Whatever it is when inspiration hits, I start writing and recording so as an artist it’s crucial for me to catch that lingering idea and make it into songs right there and then,” he shares.

Most recently, LambC released his first album, I'll see you when I see you that he made in collaboration with fellow artist and dear friend sh across the span of three months.
"This was my first official album release consisting of 12 songs and everything was produced and written by both me and sh who is also a producer, artist and engineer. It was really easy getting all the songs and sessions to each other be it online or offline," he shares.
"We really liked each others songwriting chops as well so whenever someone would come up with a cool idea it was really easy to decide and move on. Basically, it was the two of us just in our home studios every day hashing out songs left, right and centre — it was amazing. This album was also the first album I’ve ever released whereby It was co-produced with someone else so that also adds to the speciality," he adds.
As the year comes to a close, LambC also closes a previous chapter in his musical journey, bidding farewell to his longtime label and deciding to pursue the path of an independent artist.
"I've gone back to being independent so I’ve been planning and re-structuring my life as a musician, producer and engineer by making a label, running around getting deals and all sorts. All and all it's super fun," he says.

As part of this new beginning, LambC took to action an idea that had always been brewing since he first pursued music – starting a band.
Together with sh (guitar, synth), Young Sun (bass), and HENG (vocals), the quartet make up MOTIP, an indie soft-rock band that's driven by their deep-rooted passion for music and a mission to showcase their artistry.
"I’ve always wanted to be in a band and so I made one with my best mates. This generation has got to be the best time to showcase different identities as artists and so we strive to do that individually and collectively," LambC shares.
The band recently released their five-track EP, WANT LOVE!.
Looking forward – especially as he embarks on this new adventure, the 'Childish' hitmaker plans to do what he's always done: enjoy the music.
"Honestly, as boring as it sounds, as long as I’m happy doing what I love is my dream and goal," he shares.
