And just like that, we've had 15 extraordinary years' worth of historical adventures in the Animus.

To commemorate the occasion, Ubisoft has announced that it will be hosting some exciting Assassin's Creed events, surprises, and collabs in the months to come. A 15th anniversary website has also been launched for the community to keep track of all the celebrations, new content, rewards, and interactive experiences.

Kicking off the party this week, the Ancient Egypt adventure, Assassin's Creed Origins, will be available for free this 16-20 June during Ubisoft's Free Weekend event.

Thanks to Year 2 support, fans and players are now given access to new Assassin's Creed Valhalla content for free, including the return of festivals, the Mastery Challenge Pack 2, the Armory feature, and new Tombs of the Fallen caves to explore.

The Forgotten Saga, a new game mode where players will get to dive into Odin's journey through Niflheim, will also be available for free to all Valhalla players. Plus, one last explosive surprise with the reveal of the final episode of Eivor's story as a free chapter.

Ubisoft is also making access to learning more about history easily available to fans everywhere with Discovery Tour: Viking Age, available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. They've also teamed up with Faculty of Education at McGill University to create curriculum guides for teachers and students for free.

Ubisoft also announced that Assassin's Creed Origins is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S with 60fps support.Â
