Every week, Bandwagon invites a guest to do a mix for us. Rather than a standard interview where the artist explains their influences, we figured it’d be more potent if you simply listened to the music.
We provide the context, they provide the sounds.
Hailing from Lowell, Massachusetts, Silas Price is an experimental ambient artist signed to enterprising Singaporean record label Middle Class Cigars (also home to Cosmic Child and Linus Hablot). Riding off his outstanding eight-track debut EP (watch the music video for lead single 'Togethermint' here) entitled Acid Mess of Bone and Skin - a gorgeous maelstrom of drone, field recording samples and synth - Price is certainly an up-and-coming Lopatin-inspired talent that all of us should be keeping an ear on. This week, Silas Price drops by the Bandwagon Mix with a collection of his visionary influences ranging from Arca and Aphex Twin to John Maus and John Carpenter.
