Filipino musicians Barbie Almalbis, Pochoy Labog, Mark Escueta, and Jarlo Bâse have dropped their new single. 'PIRASO' is available across all streaming platforms today (19/01) at midnight.

'PIRASO', which means fragment or piece in Filipino, seemingly talks about how someone who feels anxious can be eased and comforted by the right person who provides the missing parts of them. On first listen, it sounds like a romantic love song. However, as the song was produced by Waterwalk Records, Sony Philippines' Christian label, 'PIRASO' might also be about a different kind of love tied to faith and spirituality.

Fans grew excited over the new track after the musicians teased their latest release on their individual Instagram accounts.

Prior to the collaboration, all four music artists have already established their presence and prominence in the local music scene. Escueta is best known as the founding member of alternative rock band Rivermaya. Labog, who is also a lawyer, is the vocalist of nu metal band Dicta License. Up-and-coming music artist Jarlo Base rose to fame in 2021 with his song 'Honey Mae'. Former Hungry Young Poets and Barbie's Cradle lead vocalist Almalbis recently rocked the stage with Aia de Leon (Imago), Acel Bisa (Moonstar88), Hannah Romawac (sessiOnroad), Kitchie Nadal, and Lougee Basabas (both formerly of Mojofly).
