Bandwagon is gearing up for its live music comeback.
For the first time since 2019, Bandwagon is hosting another live gig! This time, we're heading to the basement of Makati Central Square at the new home of NoKal. Bandwagon will be partnering with the venue and Filipino multi-genre label LockedDown Entertainment and Manila-based guitar company D&D Guitars for a special edition of NoKal's new weekly live music series, Basement Sessions.

LINEUP
For the first edition of Basement Sessions with Bandwagon at NoKal, we've tapped some of our favourite musician friends for a reunion of sorts – to come together for our first gig in four years.
Sandwich
Filipino rock icons Sandwich are set to take the Bandwagon stage for the first time next Thursday. The band is celebrating 25 years since the release of their debut album Grip Stand Throw, and currently on their bar tour titled Silver Linings. Following the release of their 2022 EP, No Goodbyes, the five-piece will be dropping new single 'Nyare?' on 25 April.
Tarsius
Making their way back to the Bandwagon stage are Tarsius, who previously performed at Bandwagon's 4th Birthday Bash alongside BP Valenzuela, Lola Amour, and Squid 9. The pair's critically acclaimed pandemic album Culture Cow, originally released on 2020, got a vinyl drop late last year. Diego Mapa and Jay Gapasin are currently working on brand new tracks, as well as fresh remixes.
The Diegos
The Diegos, a DJ duo comprising Diego Mapa and Diego Castillo, will be taking over the NoKal decks for the afterparty. Another Bandwagon stage alum, The Diegos were on the lineup for Bandwagon Hush, a secret show at Treskul Records for the Bandwagon Birthday Tour in 2018. The pair played their biggest gig yet last year, opening for the Eraserheads' 75,000-strong reunion concert.
Basement Sessions and live music at NoKal
Basement Sessions is NoKal's new live music weekly series. Happening every Thursday night, NoKal partners with music collectives and tastemakers to curate live music nights featuring a mix of emerging artists and industry mainstays. NoKal Music Director Jason Soong shares how the establishment has "always been about the music" and how excited they are to both share their space with the Filipino indie scene, as well as offer a different musical experience for their patrons. "There's so much Filipino talent out there, and we're really happy to help artists share their music with a wider audience," Soong adds.
