Bawal Clan are back.

The Filipino hip-hop collective are returning with a new album titled Tales from Tha Crypt Vol. 1, which features tracks from members AGENT2K, Lex Luthoor, Rjay Ty, DZ SVG, Nuevo, Mic Rahman, Ankhten Brown, and OJ RIVER.

The album will drop on 29 April 2022. 

Produced by Yung Bawal, Like Animals, JedLi, Hidden Leaf Soundsystem, Pope Fiction, and Yung Bawal duo, the album is a collection of old and new songs that all have their own distinct vibes and story to be told. 

"I just want to let people hear music that we've been making and it's on them to make their own interpretations on it, based on what resonates or what doesn't. I know not everyone is gonna like everything we make as everyone has their own personal taste. Art is art and is supposed to be open for interpretation, everyone hears and sees things differently," said Yung Bawal. 

Tales from Tha Crypt Vol. 1 also comes as Bawal Clan's first venture into Web3. In celebration of the album, the collective will be launching their first NFT drop in Decentraland, as well as host a listening party in the metaverse on 30 April at 9 AM PHT at Decentraland’s Club Love (56,-111). Those who attend Bawal Clan's virtual listening party will get a free POAP and get access to their first digital NFT. 

This comes in conjunction with the collective's live launch party which is happening today (28 April) at Seltsam, Makati at 8 PM.
