Once more, music has reached out to help make the world a better place.

Last night (04/02), veteran Broadway star and real-life Disney princess Lea Salonga held an hour-long virtual concert from her home via Facebook Live for the online concert series Bayanihan Musikahan. Her stunning performance raised over PHP 2 million for the benefit of families and communities affected by the coronavirus pandemic through Philippine International Aid.

Salonga dedicated the show to healthcare workers and other frontliners, singing Broadway favorites 'Gaman' from Allegiance, 'The Human Heart' from Once on this Island, 'Bring Him Home' from Les Misérables, as well as 'Nais Ko' by Basil Valdez, 'Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal,' 'Sana Maulit Muli' by Gary Valenciano, and 'Paraiso' by Ryan Cayabyab.

Bayanihan Musikahan continues tonight (04/03) with Lance Busa, Christian Bautista, Agot Isidro, and TJ Monterde through their official Facebook pages.

Bayanihan Musikahan has raised more than PHP 22.3 million since it was launched in March.
