Baybeats 2020, Singapore's biggest independent music festival, will return for its 19^th edition on 21 - 23 August to deliver yet another sensational weekend of alternative music from an array of local and regional artists. 

While festival-goers will still have to wait for more information regarding the lineup and schedule, aspiring bands can now start applying for Baybeat's Budding Bands Programme 2020, an artist development program within the festival that is aimed at identifying and showcasing independent Singapore bands. At the end of the three-month mentorship, the bands chosen from the auditions will have an opportunity to perform a 30-minute set at the festival itself, and will be given the chance to gain exposure through Baybeats marketing channels and potentially obtain sponsorship perks. 

Last year's Final List saw emerging bands like cues, Summations, The New Modern Lights, No Rest For The Weary, Plate, and Cinnamon Persimmon, who came ahead of 26 other bands to make the cut. Interested bands can find more information about the application requirements here.
