Siargao was named Second Best Picture at this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (Best Picture went to musical film, Ang Larawan). Jasmine Curtis-Smith also took home the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Abi, while Paul Soriano won the Best Director award. 

Siargao's official theme, 'Alon', written by guitarist Roll Martinez and performed by Hale, won as the Best Original Theme Song. Aside from 'Alon', the film also features original music by the likes of Ben&Ben, The Ransom Collective, Franco, Oh, Flamingo!, and Reese Lansangan. In the film, Jericho Rosales performs one of his originals, 'Kasama Ka', and a short cover of Eraserheads's 'Fine Time'.
