BLACKPINK superstar JENNIE has finally unveiled her highly anticipated solo album Ruby via ODDATELIER / Columbia Records.
The K-pop icon sgares, "This album holds great significance as it tells my story as a solo artist through my own voice and vision. Inspired by Shakespeare's play, As You Like It, it captures themes of birth, love, faith, and zenith. The opening of the theater curtains symbolizes the beginning of a new chapter in my musical career. Working on this album was a precious process of growing as an artist and finding my true voice."
Ruby will be offered digitally as well as in various physical configurations including 2 photobooks, a CD digipack, and a Target exclusive CD digipack. All physical products include a special JENNIE Only Audio version of the album. The JENNIE Only Audio version contains all vocals performed by JENNIE and does not include any featured artists.
The much-hyped release comes accompanied by stylish and striking music video for her newest single 'Like JENNIE' directed by HANBAGO (Han Gyeol Lee), which showcases electrifying choreography that matches the track's energy.
The 15-song LP includes previously released singles such as 'Mantra', 'Love Hangover' with Dominic Fike, 'Zen', and 'ExtraL' with Doechii.
More than just a K-pop release, Ruby is an artistic statement that bridges genres and cultures - incorporating R&B, hip-hop and alternative influences into her vibrant sound. It also features star-studded collaborations with diverse acts like FKJ, Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino and Kali Uchis.
The album marks JENNIE's first solo studio album, under the label ODDATELIER, founded by the South Korean singer in 2023 and Columbia Records.
To celebrate the release of Ruby, JENNIE will be performing a few intimate shows called The Ruby Experience, which kicked off in Los Angeles on 6 March and 7 March at the Peacock Theater, before making its way to the iconic Radio City Music Hall in New York City on 10 March, and Seoul’s Inspire Arena on 15 March.
