Fans share how they started their K-pop merch collections

To celebrate the music and podcasts that have gotten us through the year, the streaming service recounts 2020's most popular artists, songs, albums, podcasts, and more. Globally, Bad Bunny, Drake, J Balvin, Juice WRLD, The Weeknd, BTS, and Post Malone emerged as the top artists.

In the realm of K-pop, BTS also dominated the Spotify charts, being this year's most-streamed group globally and the top K-Pop artist. Their first all-English and Grammy-nominated single, 'Dynamite' is also 2020’s most-streamed K-Pop song, while their album MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 is the most streamed K-Pop album of the year.

Following BTS are BLACKPINK, TWICE, Stray Kids, and Red Velvet, who round off the top 5 of the most streamed K-Pop artists globally.

BLACKPINK and BTS also took over Spotify's most-streamed K-Pop songs for 2020 with 4 songs each on the list, tied with BTS. Completing the top K-pop tracks of the year are Red Velvet's 'Psycho' and ITZY's 'WANNABE'.

IU and Agust D (BTS' SUGA) also topped the charts being the most streamed female and male K-pop acts globally. Rounding up the Top 10 lists are the likes of BTS members RM, J-Hope, and V, Taeyeon, CHUNG HA, ZICO, BOL4, HEIZE, and EXO's Baekhyun.

Songs from popular K-dramas, Itaewon Class and Crash Landing on You, dominated the list of most-streamed Korean OSTs globally. BTS V's 'Sweet Night' from Itaewon Class topped the charts.
