BTS have been back for 15 minutes and they've already broken another record. 

BTS' 'Butter' breaks own 'Dynamite' YouTube record with 108.2 million views in 24 hours

The global pop group just dropped their brand new English single, 'Butter' today (21/05) and in true BTS fashion, the track's music video has already broken over 10 million views in just 15 minutes of its debut, making it one of the fastest music videos to hit the milestone.

Prior to the premiere of the music video, BTS also hosted a countdown special that saw over 3 million concurrent viewers.

[UPDATE 21 MAY 2021, 12:53 PM] The music video for 'Butter' has broken the record for biggest music video premiere on YouTube with 3.9 million viewers. The record was previously held by their 2020 hit, 'Dynamite,' with had 3 million viewers.

The music video has also become the fastest music video to reach 20 million views, in just 54 minutes.

[UPDATE 21 MAY 2021, 5:56 PM] 'Butter now holds the record for the most views for a music video on YouTube in less than a day. At the time of publication, the music video has 49 million views and counting. 'Butter' has also reached top spot on iTunes in over 90 countries.

'Butter' breaks the record previously held by the group's own 2020 summer hit 'Dynamite' which broke 10 million views in just 20 minutes, making it the fastest music video by a Korean group to break over 1 billion views. The track also had the most simultaneous viewers for a music video on YouTube premieres, garnering over 3 million concurrent viewers. 

'Butter' comes as one of BTS' first releases of the year, following their newest Japanese single 'Film Out' that dropped last April. 'Butter' is a dance-pop track, with a homage to Queen's 'Another One Bites The Dust', that was co-written and co-composed by the group's leader RM alongside Jenna Andrews, Rob Grimaldi, Stephen Kirk, Alex Bilowitz, Sebastian Garcia, and Ron Perry.
