j-hope is setting everything ablaze.

After much anticipation and excitement, the BTS member has finally unveiled his solo album, Jack In The Box via BIGHIT MUSIC

Bringing audiences into a world completely new to the 'Daydream' rapper, Jack In The Box sees j-hope explore new soundscapes, one much darker and heavier than his 2018 mixtape, Hope World. The record features 10 tracks, including his pre-release single 'MORE', which dropped earlier this month, and his lead single 'Arson'

'Arson' was co-written by j-hope and Michael Volpe, the latter of which also produced the hip-hop heavy track. The song depicts the rapper's passion and agony as he's presented with a crossroad of choices for his next path.

The title track was also accompanied by a music video, which picks up from where 'MORE' left off, directed by creative director and musician Leesuho

j-hope also collaborated with KAWS for the album's cover art, which reflects the 'Blue Side' act's passion, agony, and aspirations. The rapper has frequently shared his admiration for the renowned artist and now refers to him as "both a colleague and a friend".

"I’ve always had a special place in my heart for him, so this project is that much more meaningful and a huge honour for me," said j-hope in an Instagram post.

"I was thrilled when j-hope invited me to collaborate on the cover artwork for his solo project. We have become friendly the last few years and I’m happy our paths will have crossed at this moment in time," said KAWS in a press release.

In line with Jack In The Box, j-hope has also conceptualised a merch line comprising a music box named 'Hope In The Box', apparel, candles, accessories, and more. The entire collection is available for purchase via Weverse Shop

In celebration of his highly anticipated album, j-hope held a pre-release listening party on 14 July which brought together some of the biggest acts in Korean hip-hop and R&B. The singer will also be hosting a special livestream later today at 10 PM KST via V LIVE

j-hope is slated to headline this year's Lollapolooza on 31 July, joining the likes of Green Day, Charli XCX, The Kid Laroi, and Jane's Addiction. This comes as the rapper's first solo live performance, kicking off BTS' "chapter 2" which sees each of the members focusing on their individual pursuits.
