BTS Jin's 'The Astronaut' has finally arrived.
After weeks of anticipation – a new friend, wootteo, audio clips from Coldplay, concert rehearsals in Argentina, a MapleStory gifting event – Jin's first official solo single is here. Co-written with Coldplay, and produced by Kygo and Bill Rahko, the new pop-rock track was inspired by Jin "having to leave for a while, and missing the band, and [his] fans."

A dedication to fans, the devoted and ever-supportive BTS ARMY, 'The Astronaut'—which also features Coldplay in the recording—is the second time Jin worked with Chris Martin, his "superstar" and "hero" having collaborated with the band and BTS for 'My Universe'.
The dreamy soundscapes created by Coldplay serve as the perfect backdrop for Jin to introduce himself and shine as a solo artist, singing about discovering himself with the help of his band of brothers, BTS, and finding home and comfort in ARMY.

The official music video, directed by frequent collaborator Lumpens, also showcases Jin's highly touted acting skills.
Jin is set to perform the new song with Coldplay on 29 October KST at the band's Music of the Spheres concert in Buenos Aires, leading fans to refer to the country as Arjintina. Fans around the globe can watch the concert in cinemas or wait for the BANGTANTV drop at 3 PM KST on 29 October.
The brand new single follows the recent release of his older solo tracks, 'Tonight, 'Abyss,' and 'Super Tuna'.
