With over 6.7 billion K-pop-related tweets in 2020, K-pop has definitely taken over the world.

In the latest K-pop Twitter report, the social media platform revealed 2020's #KpopTwitter stats including the biggest K-pop markets across the globe, the most talked-about K-pop acts, as well as the most-Tweeted-about K-pop tunes.

Southeast Asian countries Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines are joined by South Korea and the United States on the Top 5 biggest K-pop markets on Twitter.

Top 10 countries with the most tweets related to K-pop in 2020:

1. Indonesia

2. Thailand

4. Philippines

5. America

6. Brazil

7. Malaysia

8. Japan

9. Mexico

10. India

Continuing their global takeover, more fans shared tweets about their favourite acts from more countries with Japan claiming the top spot, America in second place, and Indonesia, South Korea, and the Philippines making up the Top 5.

Global superstars BTS are the most-Tweeted-about K-pop acts in the world, followed by fellow K-pop titans NCT, EXO, BLACKPINK, GOT7, SEVENTEEN, and TWICE. Younger groups TREASURE, TXT, and ATEEZ round up the Top 10.
 
 
BTS' 'Dynamite,' one of 2020's biggest hits is the most-mentioned song of the year, alongside the group's own 'ON,' 'Black Swan,' 'ON,' 'Boy with Luv,' and SUGA's solo 'Shadow'. GOT7's 'Breath,' NCT 2020's massive single, 'RESONANCE,' BLACKPINK's 'How You Like That,' and TWICE's catchy 'More and More' complete the Top 10.
 
 
Rising K-pop acts also kept Twitter abuzz with YG Entertainment's TREASURE reigning over the top spot. TXT, ATEEZ, Stray Kids, ENHYPEN, WayV, THE BOYZ, SuperM, IZ*ONE, and ITZY make up the list.
