RM of K-pop kingpins BTS is set to unveil his new solo documentary film entitled RM: Right People, Wrong Place at the 29th BUSAN International Film Festival (BIFF). The non-fiction feature was officially selected to premiere in the 'Open Cinema' section of Asia's largest film festival.

Produced by HYBE and distributed by CJ 4DPLEX, the movie chronicles the 8 months leading up to RM’s military enlistment after the release of his first solo album Indigo on December 2022. Closely following the creation of his 2024 sophomore solo album Right Place, Wrong Person, the film spotlights RM's journey of self-discovery as he channels his experiences and emotions into latest LP.

Directed by Lee Seokjun, who also produced BTS bandmate j-hope's music videos for 'Arson' and 'MORE', the film takes viewers through Seoul, Tokyo, and London—cities where RM captured the essence of the album’s visuals, including concept photos and music videos—providing an in-depth look into his creative vision. The various backdrops and diverse artistic collaborations offer an evocative glimpse into his public persona as BTS’ leader and his personal identity as Kim Namjoon (RM’s real name).
