SUGA is celebrating his birthday by giving back.
In celebration of his 30th birthday today (9 March), the BTS member has donated KRW 100 million to a relief fund for those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria last February, according to Korean news reports. The 7.8-magnitude earthquake has killed over 45,000 people and displaced millions across a dozen cities.
"Too many children and families suffered great damage from this earthquake. I convey my condolences to the survivors and victims, I hope that it will be of some help to children affected by the earthquake, and I hope that it will be used to support relief items for children," said SUGA, according to Korean news reports.
SUGA comes as the latest Korean artist to donate to earthquake relief efforts for Turkey and Syria, following fellow BTS members Jimin and j-hope, GOT7's JAY B and Jinyoung, SEVENTEEN's S.Coups, and more.
