BTS' V announces new solo album, 'Layover'

BTS' V is all set to finally release his first solo album, Layover.

After singing numerous unreleased songs on Weverse Lives, the singer-songwriter is ready to reveal his debut offering.

Comprising six tracks spanning from old school R&B to '70s "romantic soul," the brand new record is slated for release on 8 September 2023, 1 PM KST and is available for pre-order starting 8 August 2023, 11 AM KST

There are three versions of the physical album each priced at KRW 19,300, as well as a Weverse album version priced at KRW 11,800. Fans can also avail a set starting at KRW 57,900


Digital Cover

The digital cover features an image of his beloved pet dog, Yeontan, who can also be seen prominently in the previews of the physical album. Layover is even set to drop a day ahead of Yeontan's birthday. The cover is also featured as the cover of the 'Slow Dancing' CD single. Get it here.


Tracklist

The tracklist consists of 5 songs, including a piano version of 'Slow Dancing' as a bonus track. There will also be a music video for each track on the album.

Promotion Schedule

V is kicking off album promotions with the pre-release of 'Love Me Again' and 'Rainy Days,' as well as their respective music videos.


V has tapped ADOR President and Executive Producer and NewJeans creator Min Hee Jin to produce and take over the creative direction of his forthcoming album – from music, choreography, design, and promotion. 

Prior to his official solo release, the singer-actor has previously shared 'Winter Bear,' 'Snow Flower (feat. Peakboy),' as well as K-drama OSTs 'Sweet Night' for Hwarang and 'Christmas Tree' for Our Beloved Summer.
