CCP will be hosting a tribute to eight contemporary artists this June.
The upcoming event in honor of newly declared Filipino National Artists in the fields of dance, theatre, film and broadcast arts, literature, music, and fashion design will be taking place at the Main Theater of the Cultural Center of the Philippines on 29 June 2022 (Wednesday) at 5 p.m.
Agnes Locsin (Dance), the late Salvacion Lim-Higgins (Fashion Design), the late Marilou Diaz-Abaya (Film and Broadcast Arts), Ricardo ‘Ricky’ Lee (Film and Broadcast Arts), Nora Cabaltera Villamayor a.k.a. Nora Aunor (Film), Gemino Abad (Literature), Fides Cuyugan-Asensio (Music), and Antonio Mabesa (Theater) are among the artists who will be honoured at the ceremony.

The National Artist Award is given every three years by the President of the Philippines in the month of June. 81 National Artists have been proclaimed to date.
The Order of National Artists (Orden ng mga Pambansang Alagad ng Sining) is the highest national recognition awarded to Filipino individuals, who've made an impact to the Philippine arts.
Tickets will be available at the CCP Ramp, starting at 3 p.m.
