Charli XCX and Lizzo have released their collaborative single 'Blame It On Your Love' today.
Driven by clipped electro-pop beats, produced by Stargate and A.G. Cook, complete with a robotic-like mode of Charli's vocals, the overall bouncy track slips right into the remarkable. She gives new life to the chorus of 'Track 10', which is off her 2017 EP Pop 2, a track that had mixed reviews when it was first released.
The reigning Queen-of-the-moment, Lizzo, comes in with a fiery, all-or-nothing verse with lines such as: "Gotta blame it on the, blame it on the, blame it on the juice / Looking at my booty like you don't know what to do / Baby, I know that you can't control it".
The new release finally gives us a first taste of her long-awaited forthcoming album XCX 3.
