On 1 July, the two Singaporean artists unveiled their new duet 'trade my heart'. The song is a soulful ballad where the two artists emote with their buttery vocals to paint an intricate story of the ups and downs of romance.
The track marks the first release of a proof-of-concept mixtape by The Great Wave, where the work is collectively owned by the DAO (decentralised autonomous organisation).

“It was such a breeze getting to work with Charlie and all the other collaborators in the collective, and I’m really honoured to be part of The Great Wave’s first release,” KEYANA said in a press release. “All of them are so well-versed and knowledgeable in their craft, and I learned a lot during the entire process. It was also the first time I’ve recorded a song with such extensive harmonies, and I got the opportunity to push myself a lot more when it came to my vocals.”
“Having so many great minds come on board has been incredibly exciting,” Lim added. “We aim to put out work that stands for musical depth, quality and craft, while providing opportunities and an alternative platform for artists to collaborate and showcase their talent."
Lim previously announced in March that he joined The Great Wave in an effort to provide more opportunities for artists to collaborate and showcase talent under a sustainable model that puts artists first.
Alongside Lim, The Great Wave is also being launched by industry leaders from the likes of music media company Bandwagon Asia and music education collective The Music Circle.
