Filipino beatmaker Ray OTW and Hong Kong rapper Chef Chung have been stalwarts in Melbourne's underground hip-hop scene for some time now. So it only makes sense for the two kindred spirits to finally cook up a collaborative new album that serves as a testament to their blossoming creative synergy.

Aptly titled Smile, We Have Each Other, the 10-track LP looks to be a boom bap beaut that marries Chef Chung's stream-of-consciousness lyricism and vivid storytelling with Ray OTW's soulful sonic sensibilities.

"At its core, Smile We Have Each Other explores the theme of love in all its forms—romantic, platonic, and self-love. The album is a heartfelt ode to friendship, connection, and the joy of shared experiences," shares the duo's artist agency, Kast.

The album will be out on Bandcamp on 3 October and all streaming platforms on 17 October.

But before then, the pair have just drizzled both the sauce and the syrup on their sweet lead single 'Old Black Nissan'. The track comes accompanied by a moody, nocturnal music video filmed and edited by Sam Morton.
