Vava will be making her Marquee Singapore debut at the end of next month.

The Chinese rapper and singer, who rose to prominence during her time on the 2017 edition of The Rap of China, will be taking over the nightclub's mainstage for a mini-live showcase on 30 March.

During her 30-minute set, the 28-year-old behind tracks such as 'My New Swag' and 'Rap Star' will showcase her distinctive sound — a fusion of influences from traditional Chinese music and contemporary hip-hop.

Thereafter, her fellow Chinese act, DJ Sally, will take over the deck for an official afterparty.

A native of Ya'an, a city in China's Sichuan province, Vava has earned the nickname of "The Queen of Rap" in her home country. In 2018, her track 'My New Swag' was featured on the soundtrack of the American romantic-comedy film Crazy Rich Asians.

Tickets to Vava's showcase are now available for SGD 20 (students), SGD 40 (ladies), SGD 50 (gentlemen), and SGD 100 (expedited entry) via Marquee Singapore's official website.
