Coachella has once again cancelled its festival dates due to COVID-19.
Following the resurgence of COVID-19 cases within California, local government officials have confirmed the music festival's cancellation. According to an announcement made via Twitter, local public health officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser signed on the order, keeping the public's health and safety in mind.

Coachella 2021 was initially slated for the weekends of 9 - 11 April and 16 - 18 April, and was intended to be a grand comeback following a pandemic-stricken year.

In March 2020, Coachella announced its postponement from April to October 2020, before fully cancelling the festival for that year due to COVID-19 concerns. It was the first time in 20 years the yearly highly-anticipated music festival did not take place.
