Coldplay and BTS are up for a GRAMMY Award together.
Two of the biggest groups in the world have been nominated for Best Pop/Duo Group Performance at the 2023 GRAMMY Awards for their 2021 collaboration, 'My Universe'. Created at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the song is about "how the power of love transcends all things, borders and rules and genders and race and every sexuality."

'My Universe' debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, giving Coldplay their second career Number 1 hit after 2008's 'Viva La Vida'. The track also marked BTS' sixth Billboard Number 1 hit.

The nomination marks BTS' third GRAMMY nomination in the same category, following 'Dynamite' and 'Butter'. Their 2022 single, 'Yet To Come' is also up for Best Music Video, making history as their first Korean-language song to be nominated for a GRAMMY.

Meanwhile, Coldplay have won a total of seven GRAMMY Awards, and are also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year for Music of the Spheres. All of the members of BTS, who appear on the album via 'My Universe,' will also be sharing the Album of the Year nomination with Coldplay and their collaborators and featured artists. RM, j-hope, and SUGA are also credited on the album as songwriters.

'My Universe' is up against ABBA's 'Don't Shut Me Down,' Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran's 'BAM BAM,' Post Malone and Doja Cat's 'I Like You', and Sam Kim and Kim Petras' 'Unholy'.
