'The Astronaut' just made its SNL debut.
The pop-rock track, performed and co-written by BTS superstar Jin, was performed by Coldplay on the iconic show on 5 February. The band, sporting wootteo patches on their shirts and jackets, played an English version of Jin's heartwarming hit single.

Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Will Champion, and Jonny Buckland were joined by the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers and musical wunderkind Jacob Collier (also wearing wootteo patches on their clothes) for their Saturday Night Live performance. Meanwhile, actress Natasha Ofili, dressed like an alien, provided ASL interpretation for the song.
Be still my heart. Thank you @nbcsnl, working with you all yesterday and today was phenomenal! I will remember this moment. Manifesting to the universe to do some skits at #SNL some day 😊💛#thankyou #coldplay https://t.co/TT9Hx3IQB8

'The Astronaut' was released in October as Jin's first official solo offering, and named as one of Bandwagon's Top Songs of 2022. The single sold over 1 million copies within 16 days from its release, making 'The Astronaut' the fastest album by a solo artist to hit the 1 million mark. He is also the third Korean soloist to sell over 1 million copies following EXO's Baekhyun and trot singer Lim Young-woong.
Jin was a special guest at Coldplay's Argentina concert in October 2022 to give fans the first and only live performance (so far) of 'The Astronaut'.
The 'Super Tuna' act is currently serving his mandatory military obligations and is expected to return as a civilian in 2024.
