Not even the rain can dampen Coldplay's mood — this was what those at the British rock band's recent concert in Malaysia learnt.
Before the commencement of the 'Viva La Vida' act's Music of the Spheres show on 22 November, rain poured down on fans waiting outside the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, who braved the wet weather while wearing ponchos.

During the concert, Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion, in true Coldplay fashion, saw the downpour as an opportunity to present a gift to their Malaysian fans.
"This is a new song. A one-time song. A one-time Kuala Lumpur song, okay?" said Coldplay's frontman, Martin, while introducing a special addition to the night's setlist.
While strumming his guitar, the 46-year-old celebrated the "beautiful" Malaysian rain with an acoustic number that was met with cheers from an amused crowd.
A highlight of the evening, the catchy song with lyrics about the comfort Malaysian rain can bring and its ability to leave one feeling clean was equal parts moving and hilarious.
Coldplay - Malaysian Rain:

I've been to Europe
I have been to Spain
But there's nothing quite as beautiful as the Malaysian rain
Whenever I'm down
Whenever I'm in pain
I love to stand in Malaysian rain
Whenever I feel like I shouldn't have been born
I stand in the rain and it… pic.twitter.com/SHfazePBLk
Delighted fans later took to social media to share their reactions to the song, with one even joking that the downpour had made Martin "more productive".
Coldplay was Euphoric.

The Malaysia-exclusive wet weather song comes as the latest surprise of the Asia leg of Coldplay's Music of the Spheres world tour. Just last week, the band brought Indonesian jazz and soul heroes MALIQ & D'Essentials on stage for a performance of 'Senja Teduh Pelita' at their Jakarta show.
