Singer-songwriter Danilla Riyadi is back with her third full-length album Pop Seblay.
The Indonesian musician’s latest output via Laguland Records combines the refined sound of her previous albums—namely Telisik, Lintasan Waktu and Fingers—with a more cheerful arrangement, and straightforward lyricism in this instalment.
Produced by Otta Tarrega, Lafa Pratomo, and Danilla herself, the album is said to be born out of longing for friends and co-workers who the Jakarta-based artist rarely got to see due to the pandemic.

In speaking about the album, the 32-year-old singer said: “Pop Seblay is actually an album that was made for one reason: I miss my friends.”
Indeed, the album is essentially a candid expression of how Danilla feels internally; songs such as 'MPV' which is a rejection of listeners' expectations of her artistic work is perhaps a rather fitting example of that.
The album also features numerous special guests including Sigit Pramudita from Tigapagi who contributed lyrics to the track ‘Bukan Otomata’ and Teddy Adhitya who makes a vocal appearance on ‘Fel d 1.’
Pop Seblay is now available for streaming. Listen here:
