Jem Manuel is officially a PRS Guitars Artist.

On Wednesday (22/12), the December Avenue guitarist announced that he is now one of the artists representing PRS Guitars in the Philippines. Having used PRS on majority of their songs and touring with a PRS CE 24 extensively on tour, it's perfectly fitting that Manuel would be given this honor.

"To be recognized by one of the brands that I spent a good chunk of my career with really came out as a bolt from the blue as I have never, in my wildest dreams, thought that this day would come," he writes in his post on Facebook.

In a message to Bandwagon, the 'Kung 'Di Rin Lang Ikaw' guitarist revealed that the partnership started one day over a chat with Guitar Pusher manager Mark Casquero. "We chatted a little bit and he asked me if I wanted to be a PRS artist. I really didn't think of it too much that day 'cause I thought he just said that in passing," he recalls.

Manuel started using PRS in 2017 when Lyric gave him his first PRS SE. "It connected with me like no other guitar," he says. "There's something about PRS that translates what I want to hear better than all the guitars I have tried."

December Avenue recently performed at the Expo 2020 Dubai, where they performed onstage in front of an audience for the first time since the pandemic began. They are scheduled to tour North America with Zack Tabudlo from 30 April to 28 May 2022, followed by a tour across Canada.
