This past year has been a complete daze, but Dua Lipa reminds us there was such thing as a nightlife and that we can still have it from the safety of our homes.
The 25-year-old 'Don't Start Now' pop star revved things up over the past weekend with her first major online concert Studio 2054 in support of her GRAMMY-nominated album Future Nostalgia. It was an hour and ten minutes of neon lights and glitter, throbbing basslines, and energy that can tear off your roof. There wasn't a minute of downtime, just all-good fun on the dancefloor for only 10 USD.

The stellar production, brought to you by Ceremony London and director Liz Clare delivered a smooth and uninterrupted experience for fans. Each stage and set shared different looks into this female alpha's personality and taste as she moved from one area to the next without losing her breath or missing a single note.

Studio 2054 also featured a star-studded cast which included Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Angèle, Bad Bunny, FKA Twigs, J Balvin, Tainy, DJ The Blessed Madonna, and Dua Lipa's 'Prisoner' collaborator Miley Cyrus. Beside Minogue, FKA Twigs, Angèle, and DJ The Blessed Madonna, who physically turned up at the show, each guest appearance cleverly made their way through TV screens and projectors as segues between numbers.

It was Dua's goal to go beyond the bounds of an ordinary live show, and despite the ongoing pandemic, managed to make it happen with over 5 million viewers tuning in globally over the weekend (1.9 million unique log-ins from China, 95,000 from India, and 263,264 tickets sold across the regular ticketing platforms).
Studio 2054 was a spectacle the evolving music industry could learn from during this strange time. And while it's clear things won't be going back to normal anytime soon, game-changers could pick up a trick or two from one of today's shining stars.
