eaJ's highly anticipated debut EP is almost here.

Taking to his official Twitter and Instagram pages on Thursday (2 February), the Korean-American artist announced that the project, titled smiling in insomnia, will be released at 12 AM wherever you are on Friday (3 February).

smiling in insomnia features 6 tracks including his recently released single 'typical story'. eaJ has previously teased several tracks from the EP during his tour around Asia and 88rising's Head In The Clouds Jakarta and Head In The Clouds Manila festivals last year. 

The EP's launch will come just a month after his last release — 'VISIONS', a collaborative track with Riot Games' first-person tactical hero shooter VALORANT. 

eaJ, who debuted as a member of the South Korean group DAY6 back in 2015, began his journey as a soloist in April 2022 with the launch of his first official solo single 'Car Crash'. Months later, he continued to showcase his prowess as a vocalist and lyricist in the emotional track 'typical story'. 

"I’m still kind of exploring what I like. So for a particular vision, I don't necessarily have any. I just focus on making music of the best quality I possibly can," he told Bandwagon in an interview last year.
