Ed Sheeran is back with new music after taking a year-long break.

Calling it "A Christmas present" via an Instagram teaser, the singer-songwriter has finally shared his new single 'Afterglow'. In a message to his fans, Sheeran clarified that the song, which he wrote last year, is not from an upcoming album, but "a song I love, and hope you love too. Enjoy! Have a safe and happy festive break and New Year’s."

In December 2019, Sheeran announced he would be taking a break from performing, as well as actively posting on his social media accounts. He recently broke his social media hiatus by sharing the news of the birth of his daughter.
