ENHYPEN’s Fate World Tour started in Seoul last year in July, and later proceeded the US with the Asia leg commencing in January 2024. Singapore was the second city out of the four Asian cities, before the tour concludes in Seoul in late February. It was two nights of sold-out shows at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, with some fans flying over 17 hours to attend the concert.

On Day 2 of the Singapore concert, ENHYPEN’s fandom, ENGENEs, flooded the stadium grounds in a sea of white, grey, and black outfits, they definitely got the memo for the fandom’s Day 2 unofficial dress code. With outfits checked, fan activities are next on the to-dos—merchandise haul, synching light sticks at the booth, snapping cosy photos with life-size cutouts of each member, and gathering friends to have a TikTok moment.

The high energy from ENGENEs permeated throughout all sections of the 3-level stadium during the over two-and-a-half hours show time, with a setlist of songs from three albums since their 2021 debut. It was a consistent pulsating excitement from the start at pre-show when the crowd was enthralled with their enthusiastic sing-along to the music videos playing on the stage’s giant LED screens. More shrills and frenzy ensued when the 7-member group appeared on stage in their white, gold-accented outfits to kick off the night with ‘Drunk-Dazed’

The hypnotic choreography on ‘Future Perfect (Pass The Mic)’ and its distinct energetic fan chants, made the song seem like a collaborative performance by ENHYPEN with ENGENEs. It was amazing to witness the level of connection that the fans have with the group.

Taking a breather from the intense choreography, the stage visuals transitioned into a magical garden scene and revealed Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, and Suno seated on the steps and dressed in high school uniforms, singing ‘TWF (That Feeling When)’. Jake strummed on the guitar, and to continue with the down-tempo intimate session, Heesung showcased his piano skills, with Jungwon and NI-KI on vocals for ‘Just A Little Bit’.

The fun cheery ‘Polaroid Love’ got even brighter when ENHYPEN strolled down to the standing pen runways to sing for their fans up close and personal, with the lucky ones receiving high fives and hand hearts from the members, before they went back onstage to continue with ‘One and only’. With another surprise, mid-way through the collaboration song with Pokémon, a team of Pikachu mascots appeared and bobble danced to the song along with the group.

For an acoustic special, Jake sang Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’ accompanied by Jay on the guitar. Jake shared that the song is special for him as it was his audition song for the K-pop competition show I-Land (2020). The group then spinned a bottle for a dance off, with NI-KI and Jay showing their moves before breaking into the full song ‘Go Big Or Go Home’.

The show peaked when ENHYPEN transformed into "vampires," and teased fans with ‘Chaconne’, before building up the tension with ‘Bills’ and ‘Criminal Love,’ and topping it off with the highly anticipated seductive new releases. ‘Bite Me’ had the fans losing their minds to every dance move, while Sweet-ee-eet venom-nom-nom in ‘Sweet Venom’ is an irresistible ear worm stuck in the head.

ENHYPEN members caught on to the Singapore Singlish slang, expressing their affection and appreciation to ENGENEs with “love you lah” and pinky promised to be back again. Here’s to ENHYPEN keeping their promise while ENGENEs anticipate their next stage in Singapore!
