Over the weekend, BTS fans in the Philippines held a blood donation drive in celebration of the group's golden maknae, Jungkook's birthday this September.
In partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, local fanclub BFM Kookiebunnies organised a Jungkook-centric bloodletting drive, soothing donors with BTS-themed decorations, Dosirak-style meals, loot bags, and more.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, many fans experienced the difficulty of getting blood tranfusions due to lack of supply in blood banks and hospitals. "Our friends who needed blood transfusion after surgery or after chemotherapy experienced this first hand," the group shared. They felt that the blood letting drive would help out not just fellow ARMY, but also other members of the community. The group added, "We felt that with this effort, we can give the most humanitarian gift we can give — a part of ourselves for others. Blood. Sweat. Tears."

This comes as the latest project from BFM Kookiebunnies, who are dedicated to spreading happiness and joy in honour of Jungkook. Earlier this month, the club also put together over 200 school kits for students at Alaminos Elementary School.

BTS fans, from both in and out of the Philippines, are known to celebrate the members' birthdays by spreading love and helping out others. In the past, the BTS ARMY have put together forest restoration projects, charity drives for underprivileged children, and even adopted a whale.
