Ever since his critically acclaimed debut album Recollections dropped last year, life has been frenzy for Gabba. From the heightened attention, to spending months on the road (including appearances at SXSW Sydney, Music Day Out in Singapore, and Wanderland 2024), the Filipino multi-instrumentalist has been on a roll.

Written in the afterglow of his momentus year, Gabba's latest single reflects upon the non-stop train of events and experiences he’s faced since his career took off. 'Pockets' reminds us all to be grateful and enjoy the process, even when we're in the midst of the grind.

"‘Pockets’ is my way of looking back at those moments, feeling grateful, and recognizing the value of the little "pockets" of joy that came with them,” Gabba explains. “When we are constantly moving, we tend to overlook the small wins and focus on the next big thing. The repetitive synth part at the beginning of the song is meant to symbolize something non-stop, like someone running or a train moving.”
