All eyes in the Neverland community were on Singapore last Saturday (1 October).
After staging shows across North America, Latin America, and Asia, it was time for (G)I-DLE to bring their Just Me ( )I-DLE tour to a close, and the bustling city-state's The Star Theatre had the honour of hosting its grand finale.
The South Korean girl group's visit to Singapore came more than three months after they kicked off their globe-trotting concert tour in Seoul this June, but fans in the country discovered that patience does indeed pay off.
Due to the final show's proximity to the launch of (G)I-DLE's fifth mini-album, I Love, on 17 October, those in attendance were among the first in the world to see the quintet's new looks for their forthcoming comeback.

A few minutes past 6 PM, Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua — all sporting gorgeous light-coloured locks — strutted to the centre of the stage and took their positions for the night's opening number, 'Oh my god'.
As soon as the unmistakable instrumental track of the K-pop outfit's 2020 hit began playing through the speakers, the cheers and screams of enraptured Neverlands filled the indoor venue. Those were also the sounds that greeted each member when she stepped forward to deliver her lines.
The rousing reception did not go unnoticed by the self-producing group, who acknowledged it during their introductory talk.
"Although it is our final station, the screams, you guys, [were] really crazy!" said Yuqi, drawing an enthusiastic response from fans.
She later added: "It is really an honour to wrap up our world tour here in Singapore so I wish [that] you guys [will] have a really special day today. Let's make a good memory together!"
The show that the Cube Entertainment act put on was a fitting conclusion to their first-ever world tour in that it both reinforced their status as a formidable force in the K-pop realm and reminded everyone why they are adored by so many.
Populated by a mixture of tunes from across their different releases, the night's extensive setlist was a display of (G)I-DLE's versatility, one of their most defining traits.
Through songs such as their trap-pop debut single 'LATATA', the dance-pop and moombahton summer track 'DUMDi DUMDi', the Latin pop-infused 'Senorita', and 'i'M THE TREND' (a love letter to their fans), they showcased their fun and light-hearted side and infected all in The Star Theatre with their joyful energy.
On the other hand, lyrically rich tracks such as 'HWAA', 'HANN (Alone)', and 'HANN (Alone in winter)' cast a spotlight on (G)I-DLE's ability to connect with their listeners even when they are ruminating on more serious topics in their music.
They even took the time to explain the relationship between the abovementioned songs to their fans. Minnie shared: "Did you know that there's a secret [about] these two songs? You can find the secret in the subtitles 'Alone in winter' and 'Alone'. The stories of these two songs are connected."
"Those stories continue into 'HWAA' too," added Yuqi.
While their 2022 smash hits 'TOMBOY' and 'MY BAG' were the songs that most had been waiting to hear, it was 'LION' that was arguably the most unforgettable number of the concert.
With the fierceness and majesty that characterise the animal from which the song derives its name, all five members sent this emphatic message to everyone who was watching: I'm a queen like a lion.
Of course, no (G)I-DLE concert is complete without memorable interactions between the multinational outfit and their fans, and (G)I-DLE set aside plenty of time to strengthen their relationship with those in attendance.
During the event's interactive acapella segment, the group invited the crowd to shout out the names of songs that wanted to hear. Suggestions included the B-side track from I burn, 'DAHLIA', Miyeon's 'Drive', Yuqi's 'Giant', and Soyeon's 'BEAM BEAM', all of which (G)I-DLE more than gladly sang.
However, there was one suggestion that they could not quite make out as it came in the form of a dance move.
It was only when they sang the song while executing its choreography at the end of the segment that they figured out that fans were referring to 'Put It Straight'. The ensuing chaos on stage as the members reacted to their realisation caused the entire audience to erupt into laughter.
Sometimes, it's the little moments that will stay with you long after a concert has ended, and Neverlands in Singapore must surely be delighted to know that they now have one that belongs to them.
