The heaviest metal battle in Manila is happening this July.

On Wednesday (29/06), Numinous announced the W:O:A Metal Battle Philippines Grand Finals, taking place at the Amoranto Stadium, Quezon City on 8 July (Friday), where they will select the next Filipino metal act to represent the Philippines at Wacken Open Air in Germany. Entrance to the show is free.

The upcoming concert will also feature live performances by Greyhoundz, Queso, Valley Of Chrome, SkyChurch, Typecast, Arcadia, Philia, VIE, and Saydie.

Three finalists are set to vie for the title of Metal Battle Champion and win an all-expense paid trip to Germany to perform and compete at the Wacken Open Air Festival Metal Battle Finals this August. This year's edition of the Wacken Festival includes performances by Slipknot, Till Lindemann, Judas Priest, and many more.

To join the battle, aspiring metal bands must be able to perform a 30-minute set of original songs and should currently not be signed with a label. Each member of the band must be valid passport holders and be at least 18 years of age.
